The Baltic Message: How One Thesis Spread Across Six Countries

On August 12, 2026, Estonia's Postimees published an interview with "five steps for the Baltics." Within three days the piece was retold in Lithuania, Latvia, and Czechia; in September the topic returned in Swedish and Austrian articles—six countries in total.

Key points: NATO countries are not ready for drone warfare; it is unacceptable to rely on "blind faith in non-attack"; the situation will test NATO Article 5. According to Austrian Militär Aktuell (05.09), Brovdi cited the distribution of strikes (around 95% — tactical depth up to 30 km from the front, around 5% — strategic strikes deep into rf), estimated the enemy's use of around 300 "shaheds" per day, and called on NATO to open access to Starlink over rf territory.
